The element of photography I enjoy the most is the ability to capture the same sights our eyes see, just a little differently. By playing with aperture and shutter speed we can bring out detail that the human eye doesn't see. By changing lenses we can achieve new perspectives.
I use prime lenses for all my photographs. Taking away the convenience of the zoom makes me think differently about how to capture the shot I want. Instead of the twist of a zoom, I have to get on my feet and go find the best frame. This invariably leads to more experimentation and often results in shots taken from angles I would not have otherwise considered.

The world is a blank canvas waiting to be sailed

Small bus or big world?

Pebble beach long exposure

We are all illuminating

The naked forest lays bare your fears

Going places

Modern living

Something in the water

Ceci n'est pas une porte
